I’m Haley Castellano, founder of SOZO Holistic Nutrition.
I grew up in Massachusetts in a Greek and Italian family where food was more than fuel—it was connection, celebration, and healing. My heritage instilled in me a lifelong love for health, nourishment, and the beauty of real food. I’ve often joked that I went to school just to tell people to follow the Mediterranean diet—and while it’s more complex than that, there’s certainly truth in it.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Health Science and Nutrition from Bridgewater State University, followed by a master’s in Clinical Nutrition (MSCN) from Sonoran University, a naturopathic medical school. I’m also a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), the highest credential for personalized nutrition in the U.S. With over eight years of experience, I specialize in root-cause healing, blending functional medicine, nutritional science, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
But my journey into functional nutrition didn’t start in a classroom. It began with my own health struggles. For years, I faced complex, unresolved symptoms—and the only thing the traditional healthcare system offered me was a stack of prescriptions, rushed appointments, and vague advice. I never felt seen or truly helped. So I began doing my own research, turning to nutrition, movement, and naturopathic principles to support my healing. Slowly, I rebuilt my health—and found a calling.
That experience became the heart behind SOZO.
The name SOZO comes from the Greek word σῴζω, used in the New Testament to mean “to save, heal, preserve, and make whole.” It reflects not just my Greek background, but my mission: to help others restore their health with clarity and intention.
I started SOZO because I saw the gap in healthcare—long waitlists, skyrocketing costs for generic care, and one-size-fits-all treatment plans. Too many people walk away from appointments still confused, still tired, and still unwell. At SOZO, you are never just a number, you are a meaningful transformation in progress.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll likely find me in the kitchen creating Mediterranean-inspired recipes, going on a run, or spending quiet time with Jesus. These rhythms—faith, movement, nourishment—are the foundation of my life, and they anchor the care I offer through SOZO.
My passion for real food, whole-body wellness, and helping others heal is what built SOZO—but it’s the resilience, growth, and transformation I witness in my clients every day that truly brings it to life.
